10mm diameter High index ball and half ball

High Index Optical Ball Lens and Half-Ball Lens provide for a shorter back focal length, simplifying fiber coupling, due to the high index of refraction. High Index optical Ball Lens is ideal for endoscopy, bar code scanning, ball pre-forms for aspheric lenses, and sensor applications.

Fused Silica features high transmission from 200 nm to 2.2μm with a low coefficient of thermal expansion, making it ideal for the most demanding ball lens applications in the ultraviolet, visible, and near infrared spectra. Optical Ball lens are commonly used for improving signal coupling between fibers, emitters, and detectors, as well as objective lenses in endoscopy and bar-code scanning applications. Half-ball lens simplify handling and integration.

Spherical optical ball lens ideal for laser collimating and focusing, laser-to-fiber coupling, fiber-to-fiber coupling, and fiber-to-detector coupling. Larger optical ball lens is easier to handle and ease the sensitivity of translational alignment. However, smaller spheres or Mini Ball Lens fits into smaller packages.
