Cylindrical Lens has a plano-concave and plano-convex structure, both for diverging or converging beams.

The base materials of cylindrical lens have N-BK7 glass, UV fused silica glass, CaF2 infrared glass material, and all materials can be selected from uncoated or AR-coated.

Cylindrical lens is used to correct astigmatism in the eye, and, in rangefinders, to produce astigmatism, stretching a point of light into a line. Cylindrical lens are available in Plano-Concave Cylinder Lens, Plano-Convex Cylindrical Lens or Meniscus Cylinder Lens configurations. Plano-Concave Cylinder Lens has a negative focal length and are used for image reduction or to spread light. Plano-Convex Cylindrical lens has a positive focal length, which makes the cylindrical lens is ideal for collecting and focusing light for many imaging applications.

Other types of Cylindrical lens such as Double-Convex Cylinder Lens,Double-concave Cylinder Lens,meniscus cylinder lens,Rod Cylinder Lens,special cylindrical lens available upon request.
